Doesnt appear necessary to add it in Worldbuilder.
#TURN ON MODS IN CIV V WORLDBUILDER FREE#
Even then, in normal game, free cities are still enabled when cities lost loyalty. =I did not add the free cities faction in the player list as I did not know how it works. = I believe the choice of AI or HUMAN for CIVS or CS doesn't matter, but this worked for me so i stuck to it.
#TURN ON MODS IN CIV V WORLDBUILDER HOW TO#
(if left on random, i couldnt figure how to get it working 100% of the time) Leave the rest of the settings as defaults. =In the player list, first delete everything. =Make sure the number of placed locations are greater or equal to the possible number of players for that map size, or there may be spawn inconsistencies or game crash if the players selected in game setup menu exceed the worldbuilder start locations.Ģ) For placing a start position for each civ. =Add the start location on the map using the PLOT tool, use Startposition:Random player for civs, random city state for CS. =Delete all players and civs and city states in the player list. =Switch to advanced mode only to add players and start positions (just to rule out any advanced features that could cause issues)

The player will spawn on any possible defined start positions For example, this can be used for a balanced map with platforms for each player, but you dont want to restrict a certain civ to the same spot.

You can try to follow the steps i used, it might work.ġ) For predetermined starting spots but allow any choice of civs / city states. I had success placing start positions in worldbuilder, though for a small testing map only, nowhere near 25 players.
